From May 22-23, BK Plus Europe attended an inspiring two-day bootcamp hosted by NetZeroCitiesEU, as a member of the city of Kalamata’s consortium. This event was a vibrant collaboration hub, bringing together representatives from 20 cities dedicated to achieving climate neutrality under the EU Mission for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030. 🚀🌿

The team, featuring Konstantinos Grigoriadis from BK Plus Europe, along with Dr Maria Karampela and Georgia Lignou from Uni Systems, and Mr. Nikos Basakidis from the City of Kalamata, participated in engaging presentations and hands-on workshops. These sessions offered invaluable opportunities to share knowledge, address shared challenges, and explore innovative strategies to significantly cut emissions and create a sustainable future. 🌱💡

As part of Cohort 3 of Pilot Cities, Kalamata is embarking on an ambitious journey to reach climate neutrality by 2030. BK Plus Europe is honoured to provide technical support in developing Kalamata’s novel governance model, which will be essential in meeting these ambitious targets. 🎯🌍

The bootcamp created a vibrant environment for learning and cooperation, reinforcing our collective commitment to a sustainable future. We are inspired by the connections formed and the collaborative spirit that emerged over these two days. 🤝✨
