KE1 – Justice Sector Reform Expert CAT II (220 mandays)
General description of the position: Specific Objective No 1 (SO1): To strengthen the framework for coherent, results-based and accountable long-term, medium-term and annul justice sector reform actions; SO2: To support an increased use of advanced governance tools in the justice sector, including a civil code with minimum standards; SO3: To strengthen the efficiency in the delivery of justice sector services through digitalizing business processes in general and the automation of case management in particular.
Qualifications and skills required:
- University Degree in Law, Public Administration or any other closely related subject
General professional experience:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in justice sector reforms;
- Experience with the M&E of justice sector reforms;
- Excellent project- and time management skills;
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills;
- Proven financial management capabilities;.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Specific professional experience:
- At least 2 professional experiences (assignments) related to designing and/or evaluating justice sector policies and/or justice sector medium-term reform plans are required;
- Professional experience with the automation of case management / justice sector business processes is an asset;
- Demonstrated expertise in a common law system, with professional working experience in such a system;
- Experience in The Gambia and/or regional working experience is an asset.
Language skills:
- Language skills: Excellent English communication and writing skills (C-2 level proficiency)
