Objective: The project aims to conduct a comparative analysis of community-based institutions (CBIs) in local governance in Togo, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Zambia. The study seeks to explore the effectiveness of these institutions in engaging citizens in local decision-making processes, examine their interactions with municipal/state authorities, and identify best practices and recommendations for promoting citizen participation and sustainability in governance.
