BK Plus Europe, as coordinator of the Erasmus+ project MPATS – Moldova’s Pathway to Advanced Tourism Skills, has launched the first round of capacity-building activities in Chișinău. The project aims to improve the quality and relevance of vocational education and training (VET) in the tourism sector, by integrating entrepreneurship into training pathways and aligning curricula and frameworks with European standards and good practices. During the mission, the consortium held institutional dialogues with ANTRIM (National Inbound and Domestic Tourism Association) on local tourism development, the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development on stronger links between training and enterprise creation, and the Ministry of Culture on reinforcing cultural competences in tourism. A focused exchange with the HoReCa Sectoral Committee further underlined the need for programmes that respond to concrete labour-market needs. We thank our local education partners — College of Ecology (Chișinău) and Public Vocational School No. 2 — for their warm welcome, and acknowledge the excellent cooperation of CIPM (Moldova) and our implementing partners APRO Formazione (Italy) and IED – Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (Greece) as we advance this important reform effort.
