Objective:
The project supports the EU Delegation to Namibia in designing a flagship skills development programme aligned with the Global Gateway’s Climate and Energy priorities. It aims to enhance Namibia’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) offer in the green hydrogen and renewable energy sectors, preparing the workforce for emerging opportunities in the country’s rapidly expanding green economy.

BK Plus Europe contributes through the deployment of an Expert in Vocational Excellence (OP-VET), responsible for analysing skills gaps, mapping actors in the renewable energy value chain, and developing opportunity-driven VET models. The project will promote public–private partnerships, strengthen VET centre capacities, and ensure that training aligns with private sector demand and sustainable job creation.

This assignment represents an important step in building a Team Europe Initiative for green skills in Namibia, bridging education, innovation, and industry to unlock Africa’s clean energy potential.
