On 12 November 2025, BK Plus Europe took part in the National Conference on Climate and Disaster Risk Governance in Tunisia, held in Tunis under the theme “Strengthening Institutions and Operationalising Future Structures Dedicated to Disaster Risk Management.”
Organised by The World Bank, in close coordination with national stakeholders of the Integrated Disaster Resilience Programme (Res.Cat. 2021–2027) and supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation🇨🇭, this conference launched a new cycle of national dialogues on Tunisia’s resilience agenda.
BK Plus Europe presented the main results of its technical assistance, including a capacity-strengthening plan to support the future Permanent Resilience Structure (SPR) and the General Directorate for the Audit and Monitoring of Major Projects (DGASGP).
Our experts – Kyriakos Fragozidis, Jihene Touil, and Aida Gargouri – also led a co-creation workshop with national institutions to develop a practical action plan for implementing these recommendations.
The event adopted a highly interactive format with presentations, working sessions, panels and Q&A – fostering genuine dialogue on how to make Tunisia’s disaster risk governance more effective and future-ready.
